Sony-ICF-SW7600G
The Sony ICF-SW7600G is a compact, microprocessor-controlled, frequency synthesized general coverage portable receiver. Direct access tuning is provided along with a multifunction LCD digital readout for unsurpassed convenience and accuracy (1 kHz step tuning on longwave, medium wave and shortwave). Just press the numbered keys to match the frequency you want to hear. Manual and automatic scan tuning are also provided. Twenty-two memories are provided for your favorite stations. The ICF-SW7600G tunes from 150 to 29995 kHz for solid coverage of longwave, medium wave and shortwave. Smooth Single Sideband (SSB) and Morse code reception is now provided through a switch with separate LSB and USB positions plus fine tuning thumb-wheel. A special Synchronous Detector circuit reduces fading and annoying "beat" frequency interference from adjacent stations as well as distortion due to fading shortwave reception. FM stereo (76 - 108 MHz) is provided to the mini stereo headphone jack. A record output jack is included for taping off the air. Advanced features include: dial light, LED tune indicator, tilt stand, keypad lock, 24 hour digital quartz clock with dual timer, Local-DX sensitivity switch, 9/10 kHz MW tuning switch, tone switch and external antenna jack.
Supplied accessories include: vinyl case, AN-61 wind-up antenna and Sony Wave Handbook. Only 7.5 x 4.75 x 1.25 inches 22 oz. (190x120x32 mm 624 g). (3 Lbs. ship weight). One year limited warranty. Sony-ICF SW77
The Sony ICF-SW77 offers sophistication not previously seen in portable or table top receivers. On the performance side of the equation, this radio offers several useful circuits. A built-in programmable RF tuning unit allows the set to track a signal from the time the antenna first picks it up, while cutting out other signals. This reduces interference. The SW77 incorporates a band pass filter that splits each band into five smaller bands, thus virtually eliminating interference from outside the band. Fifty Hertz tuning resolution permits precise signal tuning for maximum clarity (LCD resolution is 100 Hz). The advanced synchronous detection circuit effectively addresses the two biggest problems on shortwave: fading and interference from adjacent stations. The SW77 is also rich in features. Station Name Tuning is now a reality. 162 memories are available to store your favorite stations including: frequency, name (to six characters) and program times. Sony has preset 94 of these memory channels with the world's most popular SW stations. (You can over-write these factory-set memories). You select the station name and the radio will provide the best frequency based on the current time! The SW77 also includes all the expected features: excellent AM & FM bands, keypad entry, light, bass, treble, LSB/USB, ext. antenna jack, dial lock, S-Meter, sensitivity switch (Local/Normal/DX), manual tuning knob, frequency scanning, dual clocks, five-event timer, etc. There is a 3.5mm Line Output for a mono tape recorder plus a Tape Remote jack that can be used for tape recorder activation. (For stereo tape recording you must use the stereo earphone jack).
Inside the battery compartment there is a switch to select 9 or 10 kHz medium wave steps. Despite its advanced and many features, the SW77 provides a friendly "interface" between the listener and radio.
Requires four C cells (not supplied). Includes adapter for 120 VAC operation, stereo earphones, carrying belt and AN-71 wind-up antenna. With: Owner's Manual, How To Catch The Wave and Wave Handbook.
Size: 11 x 7 x 2 inches, 3.25 Lbs (279x177x51mm, 1.56 kg). (5? Lbs. ship).
Optional DCC-E160L vehicle cigarette lighter adapter is also available.
